Case Study: Reducing Impact-Induced Building Vibration from a Small Manual Punch Press

The vibration characteristics and isolation requirements of punch presses vary significantly depending on machine weight, installation location, and operating conditions. In a previous article, we discussed the vibration isolation solution for 7.5-ton and 14-ton heavy-duty floor-mounted punch presses using the ALJ-40 series isolators. Today, we would like to share a dedicated vibration isolation solution for a small manual punch press.

Equipment Overview

A small manual punch press weighing approximately 350 kg was installed on the ground floor. Although the punching frequency was relatively low, the impact forces generated during operation caused significant structural vibration, resulting in disturbances to occupants on the upper floor.
